The Fur Rendezvous is a series of dog-sled races, community events, a carnival and general Alaskan festivities starting the end of February and continuing through the beginning of the Iditarod.
If I lived in Anchorage there would be dog-sled races and fireworks on my birthday EVERY YEAR. Just sayin...

    Up side: mountains, dogs, snow
    Down side: volcanoes, earth quakes, ice
